MasterScratch- The PsyTek Project *** updates***

Image

Psy Tek has put alot of hard work into cleaning up the 28 year old MasterScratch tapes from Nottinghams Rock City days. Anyone who has tried to convert old tapes from the 80s or 90s to mp3 knows what quality to expect, with a lot of hard work and effort , its possible to get them sounding as new.
Here are his latest volumes of the cleaned up versions.
Both sides of the tapes are in one zip file.

  1. Excellent! Have just downloaded and played the first Master Scratch file. That stuff may be 28 years old but interestingly, it still sounds quite fresh and hasn’t dated.

BTW congrats on getting your own stuff played on Hermitage FM!

    • Cheers Jon, this one is a passion as I used to be Breakdancing at Rock City when the Rock City Crew were doing their thing when I was a teenager in the mid eighties. Only the other month I chatted with Master Scratch himself reminiscing about the old school days. Master Scratch was a pioneer in DJ mixing and needs to be rated as such in my humble opinion.

Cheers about the radio play, it was amazing to hear my tune, “Save The World,” (that can be heard in an earlier blog) played along side other pop tunes in a radio show situation. Thanks again to HermitageFM.com
